Auspicious New Year day. The last day of old year 31.12.2016,
after finishing Kya Khat Nguu – Lat Pan Village preaching ceremony rested at Hi
Ta Da Ya Sayartawlay a Shin Vi Ma La’s (Mahar Myaing Monastery).
An New Year morning, having the breakfast at Hi Ta Da Ya Sayartawlay’s
donor Daw Aye Aye Thein (Yoon Wati Gold Shop) family house. They offered the
local food and (“Thingyan Rice” = specially prepared fragrant rice served at
the New Year festival) was distinctly. “Thingyan Rice” is combined the water
and the rice and have to eat with compatible curry. The food was usually eat by
the peoples of Maw La Myine. The cooking method of Thingyan Rice is different
with normal rice. Thingyan Rice was difficult to cook. After having meals,
preached about rejoice sermon including Theravada sãsãnã meaning and pouring
water for sharing merit.
Daw Aye Aye Thein (Yoon Wati Gold Shop) family is the
nationalist family who donated 300000 kyats to the writer for monthly. Today,
Dhamma friends and the Hi Ta Da Ya teachers were listened the sermon and
donation.
